Yudh Abhyas maneuvers will take place in mountainous areas in the northern Indian state of Uttarakhand, 100 km from the line of control with China. They will be attended by 350 military personnel of the armies of India and the United States as part of the joint tactical battle groups.
In August, India and the United States held the 13th annual joint special forces exercise Ex Vajra Prahar-2022 in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. They involved the American contingent as part of the first special forces group (1st Special Forces Group) and a detachment of special tactics (Special Tactics Squadron).
As the Times of India points out, according to sources, India will also for the first time conduct joint army maneuvers with Australia Austra-Hind, which will be held November 28-December 11 at the Mahajan training ground in the Indian western state of Rajasthan. The exercises will train the joint actions of the infantrymen of the two countries in a semi-desert area.
