CSTO leaders will return to discuss the situation on the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan

Belarus (bbabo.net), - The Collective Security Council (CSC) of the CSTO will again discuss the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border at the end of November. This was announced to journalists today, October 28, by Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Yury Ambrazevich, commenting on the results of an extraordinary meeting of the CSC of the Collective Security Treaty Organization held earlier on Friday via videoconference.

“The parties came to the understanding that the issue will be further considered at the regular session of the CSTO Collective Security Council scheduled for late November,” Ambrazevich said.

According to the diplomat, there is a certain vision for the next few weeks on how this issue will be further considered.

He also reminded that trilateral talks between the leaders of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan would soon take place.

As bbabo.net reported, last week, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan outlined two expectations of the Armenian side from the upcoming summit: a clear political assessment of the CSTO regarding the escalation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and the adoption of a road map to restore the territorial integrity of Armenia after the aggressive actions of Azerbaijan, led to the occupation of part of the territory of a neighboring country.
