Ukraine (bbabo.net), - Ukrainian Ambassador to Israel Yevhen Korniychuk asked the United States to put pressure on Israel, which refrained from supplying weapons to Kyiv.

According to The Hill, Korniychuk meets weekly with US Ambassador to Israel Tom Neides and calls the US envoy a "secret weapon" in his campaign to push the Israelis to support Kyiv.

“Americans are the only ones Israel listens to,” Korniychuk said.

The Ukrainian diplomat also wants the Joe Biden administration to take a closer look at how Israel is complying with Western sanctions on Russia.

Earlier, bbabo.net reported on official Jerusalem's refusal to supply defensive weapons to Kyiv. In an interview with Newsru.co.il, Israeli Construction Minister Zeev Elkin commented on the decision:

"There is no point in our small country providing the defense systems that others can provide."
