The expansion of NATO infrastructure to the borders of the Russian Federation is unacceptable and is one of the sources of current global contradictions. This was stated today, November 22, by Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel at a meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin in Moscow.

“This conflict, in our understanding, has its origins in the manipulation of the United States, you warned the world for a long time that the NATO offensive to the borders of Russia is simply unacceptable, and they tried to find in extraterritorial wars, as they do, the opportunity to appear as a rescuer and solver of all emerging in the world situations. We constantly condemn the sanctions against the Russian Federation, but also the sources of the current conflict, so that people are not misled and that Russia is not blamed,” the Cuban leader said.

He added that Russia is also facing the position of Europe, "which is completely subordinate to the interests of the United States."
