Asia (bbabo.net), - Germany will provide assistance to Afghanistan in the amount of 90 million euros (93 million dollars). This was announced today, November 24, by the charge d'affaires of Germany in Afghanistan, Eric Kurzweil.
Assistance will be distributed through the World Food Programme, the United Nations Development Program and other non-governmental projects. The latest decision brings the total amount of aid from Germany this year to 331 million euros.
As bbabo.net reported, German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock and German Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht appealed to the country's Finance Minister Christian Lindner with a demand to allocate € 2.2 billion for military support to Ukraine in 2023 instead of the planned € 697 million.
