US State Department condemns Iranian missile strikes on Iraqi territory

Greater Middle East (bbabo.net), - The US State Department condemned the Iranian military's missile attacks on the headquarters of the opposition to Tehran and Iran's recognized terrorist "Kurdistan Freedom Party" in northern Iraq and urged to refrain from future threats.

"The United States strongly condemns these repeated and outrageous violations of Iraq's territorial integrity and calls on Iran to refrain from further threats and use of force," the State Department said in a released statement.

Last week, the IRGC conducted an operation against Kurdish terrorist cells in northern Iraq using drones and missiles. As a result of the shelling, one person was killed and eight injured, including members of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) detachments.

In October, the IRGC launched a four-phase military operation against armed anti-Iranian Kurdish groups based in northern Iraq. The ground forces, as well as the air units of the IRGC, took part in the operation. During the operation, the Iranian Armed Forces delivered pinpoint strikes with the help of air aviation, as well as kamikaze drones. The attacks killed at least 13 people and injured 58, most of them civilians.
