Ukraine, Conflict in Donbass (bbabo.net), - After the Donetsk People's Republic officially became part of the Russian Federation as a subject, the DPR embassy in Moscow lost its diplomatic status.

In this regard, the diplomatic mission will be transformed into the official representation of the DPR in the Russian capital. This was reported by the DAN agency, referring to the statement of the DPR Ambassador to Moscow, Olga Makeeva.

“Work on the transformation of the Embassy of the Donetsk People’s Republic in the Russian Federation will be completed by June 1 next year,” she said.

Recall that the embassy of the Donetsk People's Republic opened in the capital of the Russian Federation on July 12 this year. The embassy building is located at the address: Moscow, Grokholsky lane, 13.

At the end of September, a referendum was held in the DPR, as a result of which the Republic became part of the Russian Federation along with the LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions.

In October, the embassy began the process of reorganization into a representative office. The transitional period for the integration of new regions into the Russian Federation will last until January 1, 2026.

Earlier, bbabo.net reported that the government of the DPRK decided to recognize the independence of the DPR and LPR, and expressed its will to develop state relations with these countries in accordance with the ideal of independence, peace and friendship.
