Shortly thereafter, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev instructed to accelerate the transformation of the national airline Uzbekistan Airways. In turn, Russian airlines performed 97 flights to the cities of Uzbekistan.

In early November, the Ministry of Transport announced that regular flights of five Russian airlines - Aeroflot, S7 Airlines, Ural Airlines, Red Wings and Smartavia - between the cities of Russia and Uzbekistan were approved in the winter schedule of 2021-2022. In addition to regular flights of Uzbekistan Airways and Russian airlines, charter flights are also carried out between the two countries.
