Caucasus (bbabo.net), - Azerbaijan handed over to Armenia the bodies of another thirteen Armenian servicemen. This was reported today, November 28, by the State Security Service (SSS) of Azerbaijan.

The statement of the special service notes that the search for the bodies of Armenian servicemen who died during military operations on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border on September 13-14, 2022 continues.

According to the information, earlier on Monday, the bodies of thirteen Armenian servicemen, found as a result of search activities, were handed over to the Armenian side through the mediation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in accordance with the norms of international humanitarian law after an examination of the bodies with the participation of employees of the Military Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan and establishing no signs of violence on them.

Recall that on the night of September 13, fierce clashes began on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. After almost 48 hours of hostilities, the parties reached an agreement on a ceasefire from 20.00 (19.00 Moscow time) on September 14. As a result of the escalation, Azerbaijani troops advanced deep into Armenian territory in separate directions in the Gegharkunik, Vayots Dzor and Syunik regions. More than 200 Armenian soldiers and four civilians became victims of the escalation from the Armenian side, and about 80 military personnel from the Azerbaijani side.

In early October, a video appeared on the Web in which Azerbaijani soldiers were shooting unarmed Armenian prisoners of war.
