Ukraine (bbabo.net), - On December 3, the Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater will host a performance of the ballet "Don Quixote" by Ludwig Minkus with the participation of leading soloists of the National Opera of Ukraine, Trend news agency reports today, November 29.
Honored Artists of Ukraine, laureates of international ballet competitions Tatyana Lyozova (Kitri's part) and Yaroslav Tkachuk (Basil's part) will take part in the production.
Don Quixote is one of the most beloved classical ballets by the public. Cheerful music, complex choreography, a plot saturated with love - all this creates an atmosphere of celebration. Temperamental, bright, fiery, it abounds with beautiful Spanish dances, attracts with many ballet tricks and the most famous fuete in the world, the Baku edition notes.
The plot is based on the events of the immortal novel of the same name by Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, to which an independent love line is added in the ballet.
The performance will also feature the leading soloists of the ballet troupe of the Azerbaijan Opera and Ballet Theater - Honored Artists Samir Samedov, Elmira Suleymanova, soloists Ayan Eyvazova, Timur Odushev, Seymur Gadiev, Samira Mammadova and others.
