USA (bbabo.net), - A Boeing 747 aircraft of the American airline Atlas with US military personnel on board was forced to make an emergency landing at O'Hare International Airport last Monday afternoon, the Chicago Tribune reported November 28 the day before.
While in the air for 58 minutes after taking off from Topeka, Kansas, the aircraft was cleared for an emergency landing in Chicago at 3:49 p.m. local time.
The cause of the emergency was a signal received by the commander of the ship about the danger in the cargo hold. According to O'Hare airport emergency services, the aircraft's sensor alerted the crew to a possible fire.
The liner was heading to the Polish Poznan.
The soldiers on board were evacuated after landing. Officials later notified that no fire had been found.
