Putin and Mirziyoyev spoke by phone

Asia (bbabo.net), - President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on Wednesday held telephone conversations with Russian President Vladimir Putin, the press service of the head of the Republic of Uzbekistan reports today, November 30.

“During the conversation, topical issues of further expanding multifaceted cooperation and strengthening the relations of a comprehensive strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Russia were discussed,” the press service said.

In addition, the heads of state discussed interregional cooperation, which will be the main topic of the Russian-Uzbek business forum, which will be held on December 1-2 in Samarkand.

It is reported that in addition to the forum, a meeting of the Soviet Commission at the level of heads of government of the two states will be held in Uzbekistan. The commission will consider current and prospective cooperation projects in the economic sphere. Business meetings will also be held with the participation of representatives of leading industrial enterprises of Uzbekistan and Russia.

Earlier it became known that Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin will take part in the forum. Uzbekistan will be represented by Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov.

During the event, participants will discuss issues of transport and logistics, industrial projects, trade and economic cooperation, the development of Russian industrial clusters in Uzbekistan and other relevant topics.
