Lithuania will allocate money from its budget for winter clothes for the Ukrainian army

Ukraine (bbabo.net), - Lithuania will allocate €2 million from its budget for winter uniforms for the Ukrainian military, according to RuBaltic.ru.

“The Ministry of National Defense will provide about 25,000 Ukrainian soldiers with winter clothes in December. Lithuanian business will also contribute to this military support,” the Lithuanian Defense Ministry said.

The ministry purchased warm outerwear and underwear from three Lithuanian manufacturers for more than €2 million. One of these three manufacturers, Audimas Supply, decided to additionally sew one thousand fleece jumpers for the Ukrainian army at its own expense.

The Speaker of the Seimas of Lithuania, Victoria Cmilyte-Nielsen, said that the assistance that Vilnius has provided to Kyiv since the beginning of the crisis, in monetary terms, is € 650 million.

We add that the Bank of Lithuania has started selling a silver collector's coin dedicated to Ukraine.

“A coin with a denomination of 10 euros is sold for 96.8 euros. Of this amount, 70 euros will be transferred to Ukraine, transferred to the account of its Central Bank, ”the Lithuanian bank explained.
