Russia notified the United States of the postponement of the session of the Bilateral Consultative Commission on the Treaty, previously scheduled for November 29-December 6.

“We remain ready to meet with Russia as part of the New START Implementation Body to discuss all the concerns that the United States and Russia have about the treaty, a critical tool for maintaining stability,” Price said.

Earlier, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said that a meeting of the bilateral consultative commission of Russia and the United States on the START Treaty is unlikely to take place before the new year.
