Ukraine (bbabo.net), - The White House issued an explanation on the words of US President Joe Biden about readiness for negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Ukraine.
The coordinator of strategic communications of the US National Security Council, John Kirby, addressed the journalists with a corresponding statement.
According to him, Biden's statement does not mean a change in Washington's position on the Ukrainian issue, the American president has no plans to enter into negotiations with Moscow "right now."
From Kirby's words, it appears that Vladimir Putin himself is to blame for this, who "has absolutely no interest in any kind of dialogue." Therefore, Washington believes that the time for dialogue has not yet come.
Recall that on November 1, Joe Biden announced his readiness to negotiate with Vladimir Putin on the completion of a special operation in Ukraine, if the Russian leader makes such a decision.
The Kremlin said that the United States is setting conditions for negotiations on the Ukrainian crisis that the Russian side is not ready to accept.
As bbabo.net reported, Moscow's position was voiced by the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov. He said that Moscow is not ready for negotiations with the United States on the conditions put forward by Joe Biden, one of which is the “withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukraine.”
At the same time, Russian President Vladimir Putin remains open to contacts with the Americans, but not on terms of surrender.
