Asia (bbabo.net), - About half of the trade between Russia and China is carried out in national currencies. This was during a meeting with Premier of the State Council of China Li Keqiang, held via video link, said the head of the Russian Cabinet Mikhail Mishustin, reports December 5, TASS.
“It is important that now almost half of our trade is carried out in national currencies,” he said.
The transition to national currencies, he said, will only gain momentum.
“It is precisely these calculations that should dominate. This is the logic of the sovereign economic and financial policy of the multipolar world,” the Russian prime minister said.
According to the head of the Russian Cabinet, good results have been achieved on the economic track. And above all, in mutual trade. He noted Mishustin that despite the unfavorable external environment, the Russian-Chinese trade turnover is demonstrating double-digit growth rates: over the 10 months of this year, it increased by almost a third and approached $ 150 billion.
“This is already higher than the figures for the whole of last year. In the future, as agreed by the leaders of the two countries, we will reach $200 billion or more,” Mishustin concluded.
