Washington forecasters were wrong: EAEU economies are gaining momentum - EEC

Belarus (bbabo.net), - The economies of the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) are developing despite the crisis, Mikhail Myasnikovich, Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), stated at the Bishkek Investment Summit on December 8.

“The economies of our countries are developing steadily. We see active growth, despite the crisis,” the head of the EEC noted.

The forecast made earlier by international rating agencies headquartered in the United States regarding the fall of the EAEU economies to 10% did not come true.

“They made a mistake, it pleases,” Myasnikovich stressed.

The head of the executive body of the integration association further pointed to the growth of investments in the EAEU countries. According to him, the inflow of investments in Armenia increased five times, in Belarus - 1.6 times, Kazakhstan - 2 times, in Kyrgyzstan - 1.9 times.

The EEC is very attentive to the interests of business and will continue to help attract investment to countries, Myasnikovich assured.

The share of trade with the EAEU countries in Armenia's trade turnover in January-September 2022 increased to 36.2%, as bbabo.net reported, last month data from the Eurasian Development Bank showed.
