Cargo flows between China and Russia are recovering - Li Keqiang

Asia (bbabo.net), - Chinese Premier Li Keqiang announced the gradual restoration of cargo flows across the Russian-Chinese border after the coronavirus pandemic, TASS reports on December 5.

According to the agency, the statement was made at the 27th regular meeting of the heads of government of Russia and China, which is taking place via videoconference.

“The negative impact of the pandemic complicates the passage of goods through checkpoints. However, thanks to the reciprocal steps of both sides, we managed to ensure the maximum flow of goods, and we are already seeing its recovery,” said Li Keqiang.

In April 2020, due to the pandemic, the Chinese authorities closed all passenger checkpoints on the Russian-Chinese border. Currently, only cargo traffic is carried out through land border crossings.
