Chinese navigation satellite successfully launched into orbit

Asia (, - On Wednesday, China successfully launched and put into orbit an experimental navigation satellite. This was reported on December 7 by TASS with reference to China Central Television.

The launch of the Kuaizhou-11 launch vehicle with a navigation device was made at 09.15 Beijing time (04.15 Moscow time) from the Jiuquan Cosmodrome in the north of China. As informed by television, the launch was successful.

The orbiting satellite will be used to conduct communications tests and validate the technology of navigation systems used in shipping.

China has recently been actively developing the national space program, developing meteorological, telecommunications and navigation satellites, as well as technologies for the exploration of the moon. At the same time, Chinese specialists are mastering a project to explore asteroids and Mars. In orbit, the construction of the PRC space station has been completed, which should soon operate in normal mode.
