Ukraine (bbabo.net), - The draft of a new - ninth - package of EU sanctions against Russia involves measures against 144 individuals, including celebrities, TV presenters and bloggers. This was announced today, December 12, by the portal EUobserver.

According to him, the draft of a new package of EU sanctions may include measures against five heads of the Russian companies REN TV and TV-Novosti. The channels NTV / NTV-Mir, Rossiya-1, REN TV will have their licenses for broadcasting in the EU countries revoked as part of the sanctions. In addition, the assets of VGTRK and National Media Group JSC in the EU should be frozen as part of a new package of sanctions.

According to the portal, the sanctions include a ban on investments in the mining sector and the sale of dual-use technologies for 169 Russian companies, as well as freezing the assets of the Moscow Credit Bank and the Far East Bank.

bbabo.net has already reported that, according to Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg, the EU plans to approve the ninth package of anti-Russian sanctions in the coming days, none of the countries is going to block it. Discussions are underway to expand the list of persons under sanctions, however, the focus is on restrictions on dual-use goods.

Recall that the meeting of the European Council is scheduled for December 15. The European Commission, within the framework of the ninth package of sanctions, intends to blacklist up to 200 individuals, companies and organizations, including three banks, enterprises of the military-industrial complex, the energy complex and the mining industry. The EU also intends to ban the broadcasting of four Russian TV channels on its territory. The European Commission does not disclose the names of companies until the sanctions are approved.
