Asia (bbabo.net), - Inflation in Kazakhstan has reached historical highs over the past 14 years, amounting to 19.6%. This was stated by the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, speaking at an enlarged meeting of the government, reports today, December 12, zakon.kz.
According to the agency, the meeting will discuss the preliminary results of the country's socio-economic development for 2022 and will determine the main tasks for the coming period.
According to Tokayev, many topical issues have accumulated in the country.
“For 11 months of this year, economic growth slowed down from 4.6 to 2.7%. Inflation has reached historical highs over the past 14 years, amounting to 19.6%,” he said.
The President of Kazakhstan stressed that such a situation has the most negative impact on the standard of living and incomes of the population.
