Asia (bbabo.net), - Before criticizing other countries, the US authorities should look into the observance of human rights in their country. This was announced on Monday at a briefing by the official representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Wang Wenbin, reports today, December 12, TASS.
“Instead of being critical of other countries, the United States should look at its own human rights issues, including the rights of migrants and Native Americans,” he said.
On Friday, the US State Department imposed sanctions due to "corruption and human rights violations" against individuals in a number of countries, including Russia, Azerbaijan, Iran, China and Ukraine. In addition, the US authorities added two individuals and a number of Chinese companies to their sanctions lists.
As stated in a press release from the US Treasury, restrictions are introduced for involvement in the violation of human rights. In addition, restrictions are being imposed on 157 Chinese-flagged ships, which, according to Washington, are associated with companies that fell under the sanctions.
