“Contacts continue. The ground operation has not yet begun, which means that there are already certain successes. We will continue,” he said.

Answering the question whether Moscow continues to persuade Ankara to abandon the ground operation, Bogdanov, quoted by TASS, noted:

"Of course, of course."

Earlier, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced plans to conduct a ground operation in northern Syria following the air operation, which began on November 20. It involved over 50 aircraft and 20 drones. According to the Turkish Defense Ministry, as a result of the strikes, the terrorists' bases, their warehouses and shelters were destroyed, hundreds of militants were liquidated.
