Russia transferred to Tajikistan mobile medical complexes for 41 million rubles

Asia (bbabo.net), - Russia donated to Tajikistan two mobile diagnostic medical complexes worth 41 million rubles. This was announced today, December 12, by Asia Plus news agency.

According to the agency, with the help of these complexes, Tajik doctors will conduct diagnostics of infectious diseases, ultrasound, ECG examinations and medical consultations among residents of remote mountainous areas.

The equipment transfer ceremony was attended by Shamil Shamsutdinov, Counsellor-Envoy of the Russian Embassy in Tajikistan, Navruz Jafarov, Head of the Department of Emergency Medical Assistance of the Ministry of Health of Tajikistan, Safarkhon Sattorov, Director of the Republican Center for Prevention and Control of AIDS, Stepan Kanakin, Program Coordinator of the Russian AIDS Infosvyaz Foundation .

Shamil Shamsutdinov noted the high demand for Russian mobile clinics already operating in the republic, the services of which were used by more than 600 thousand residents of Tajikistan.

“The Russian government has allocated more than 391 million rubles for these purposes. Such significant assistance clearly demonstrates the high importance that Russia attaches to strengthening the health of the fraternal Tajik people,” he said.

In turn, Navruz Jafarov stressed that Russia is a strategic partner of Tajikistan in improving the public health system.

“The supply of mobile clinics under the Technical Assistance Program of Rospotrebnadzor plays a big role in the fight against HIV/AIDS,” he said.

According to the agency, the transfer of mobile medical complexes took place within the framework of the regional program of technical assistance in the field of prevention, control and surveillance of HIV / AIDS and other infectious diseases, implemented by Rospotrebnadzor together with the AIDS Infosvyaz Foundation.

Since the launch of the Program in 2013, more than 424,000 people have been tested for infectious diseases. In addition, more than 176,000 residents of Tajikistan underwent medical examinations or received medical advice. There are currently six Russian mobile clinics operating in the republic.

It is reported that Russia provides all the necessary funding for the operation of mobile clinics, including payment for the work of medical and technical personnel, their training, the supply of Russian test systems and methodological literature.

Total program budget for Tajikistan for 2013-2021 exceeded 231 million rubles. More than 160 million rubles have been additionally allocated for the implementation of its current phase until 2024.
