Ukraine (bbabo.net), - Sweden is not going to supply Ukraine with JAS Gripen multi-role fighters, Aftonbladet newspaper reports today, December 12, citing Defense Minister Paul Jonsson.
“I want to make it clear: there are no plans to send Gripen to Ukraine in the near future,” the minister quotes the publication as saying at a joint press conference with his Ukrainian counterpart Alexei Reznikov, which took place the day before, on December 11, in Odessa during Johnson’s visit to Ukraine.
As bbabo.net reported, the country's Minister of Defense Paul Jonson stated at a press conference in Odessa that the next package of military assistance to Ukraine will be 50% more than the previous one and includes air defense equipment and ammunition for them.
In mid-November, the Swedish Parliament supported the government's proposal to donate military equipment worth 3.0078 billion crowns (more than $284 million) to Ukraine in 2022. We are talking about air defense systems and ammunition for them, off-road vehicles, winter uniforms, personal protective equipment and tents.
