Russian fighters flew in Armenia: Karabakh and peacekeepers in blockade

Caucasus (bbabo.net), - Pilots of MiG-29 multi-role fighters of the operational-tactical aviation of the military base of the Southern Military District (SMD) in Armenia took part in training flights. During the training, a number of training tasks were worked out. This was reported today, December 14, by the press service of the Southern Military District.

“The pilots were tasked to work out the elements of complex and aerobatics - combat turns, horizontal rolls, turns, dive slides with large angles of inclination, and others,” the report says.

In addition, the operational-tactical aviation crews of the Southern Military District performed flights in pairs and units in high-altitude areas at different altitudes, both in the daytime and at night.

More than 100 servicemen of the Southern Military District were involved in training flights, more than 10 units of military and special equipment, including MiG-29 fighters, were involved.

It should be noted that the aviation unit of the Russian military base in Armenia completed training tasks against the background of increased tension in Nagorno-Karabakh, where the Russian peacekeeping contingent is stationed. The unrecognized republic found itself in a transport and energy blockade from the Azerbaijani side. In fact, Russian peacekeepers are currently in the same blockade conditions as the civilians of Nagorno-Karabakh.
