Zakharova warned those wishing to intervene in the course of the SVO about the “most serious consequences”

Ukraine (bbabo.net), - Commenting on the initiative of Paris to intervene in the situation with the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, warned today, December 15, of "the most serious consequences" for anyone who tries to prevent Russia from conducting a special military operation (SVO) in Ukraine.

“As for the words of the French leader [Emmanuel Macron] about his readiness, as he said, to specifically intervene to protect the ZNPP, this really needs to be deciphered, because there can be a lot of interpretations,” she said.

“In this regard, I would like to warn anyone who wants to intervene in the course of a special military operation in Ukraine about the most serious consequences of such an extremely irresponsible and extremely dangerous step,” the diplomat emphasized.

“And if we are talking about the threat of a nuclear facility, then, it seems to me, it is not worth repeating again the whole danger of such an impromptu,” Zakharova added.

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry drew attention to the fact that Russia is discussing the parameters of the declaration on the creation of a protection zone around the Zaporozhye NPP in the framework of direct contacts with the IAEA Secretariat and the agency's director general Rafael Grossi.

“Intermediaries, as you understand, are not required. The French side is not a participant in this process,” she said.

“If the French colleagues were really worried about the safety of the ZNPP, then France, as a responsible nuclear power, should have been the first to call on the Kyiv regime to stop shelling this facility. Instead, the French, guided by some other considerations, are using every opportunity to advertise their pseudo-efforts to normalize the situation, ”Zakharova explained Moscow’s position.
