Caucasus (bbabo.net), - The Daily Telegraph quoted a British Foreign Office spokesman as commenting on the death sentence against spy Ali-Reza Akbari:
“We support the family of Ali-Reza Akbari and have repeatedly raised his case with the Iranian authorities. Our priority is his speedy release, and we have reiterated our request for immediate consular access."
As bbabo.net previously reported, Ali-Reza Akbari, founder of Iran's Center for Strategic Studies, was sentenced to death for spying for the British intelligence services.
Ali-Reza Akbari was a former adviser to the former Minister of Defense of the Islamic Republic, Ali Shamkhani, who served from 1997 to 2005.
