Ukraine (bbabo.net), - Kyiv asked the European Union not to punish Belarus on a par with Russia in the latest sanctions package. This was reported by journalist Rikard Jozwiak, who is in close cooperation with the EU authorities.

“One of the reasons why Belarus was not subject to sanctions along with Russia in the latest EU sanctions packages is that Ukraine asked not to include Minsk in them,” he wrote on one of the social networks.

At the same time, he previously reported that now in Brussels they are working on the tenth package of sanctions against the Russian Federation, which may include Belarus, and its adoption is expected by February.

Recall that the EU introduces tough sanctions against Belarus from the end of 2020. After the start of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine, the pressure on Minsk increased. Brussels considers Belarus an "accomplice" of Russia.
