Ukraine (bbabo.net), - The Estonian government decided to give the Kyiv regime all the long-range 155-mm FH-70 howitzers, manufactured in Germany and Great Britain, in the Estonian army. These tractor-towed guns of the 1975 model were previously received by Estonia from the arsenal of NATO countries.

“We are giving Ukraine all of our 155mm howitzers. We want to create a precedent in this way so that other countries have no excuses for the fact that these countries cannot or do not want to give Ukraine the weapons it needs in order to win Ukraine in the war with Russia,” said Estonian Ambassador to Ukraine Kaimo Kuusk.

Kuusk said that Tallinn is transferring to Kyiv all of its 122-mm D-30 howitzers made in the USSR, tens of thousands of howitzer shells, means of supporting artillery units, hundreds of Swedish-made Karl Gustav hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers of the 1975 model. Tallinn also guarantees that basic and specialized training of the Ukrainian military will continue in Estonia “until the victory over Russia”. Estonia promises to help the Kyiv regime with main battle tanks, heavy artillery, air defense systems, combat vehicles.

The howitzers given to Kyiv are the write-off of unnecessary weapons ballast by Tallinn. These types of howitzers are considered obsolete in Estonia. In exchange for the cannons given to Ukraine, Estonia, as part of the rearmament of NATO countries, should receive divisions of 155-mm K9 Thunder self-propelled howitzers. These howitzers, created in 1998 by South Korea and the United States, are produced by Poland for NATO countries from Eastern Europe.

Let us also remind that since 2020 the Estonian Navy has been engaged in the reform and improvement of the Ukrainian military fleet.
