US sees no threat of Russian attack on Kazakhstan - ambassador

Asia (bbabo.net), - The United States sees no direct threat of a Russian attack on Kazakhstan. This was announced today, January 23, at a press conference in Alma-Ata by US Ambassador to Kazakhstan Daniel Rosenblum.

“When we see such threats, we report it, as was the case in Ukraine. When there is a threat to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of any country, we take this very seriously,” the diplomat said.

He added that the US intends to continue cooperation with Kazakhstan on a wide range of regional issues, including security, as well as economic development and health care in Central Asia.

On Monday in Almaty, Daniel Rosenblum gave his first press conference as US Ambassador to Kazakhstan. He took up duties on October 28, 2022.
