Ukraine (bbabo.net), - Vienna does not take part in the supply of offensive weapons to Ukraine, but also did not block the supply of other states. This was stated today, January 23, by Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg upon his arrival at a ministerial meeting in Brussels.
“Austria cannot participate in this, being a neutral country, but it also does not interfere with others,” the minister said.
He added that countries making such deliveries should decide for themselves what weapons they want and can transfer, TASS quoted Shallenberg as saying.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said yesterday that Germany is coordinating with its allies on the supply of tanks to Ukraine. On January 20, a regular meeting of defense ministers from about 50 countries was held at the US Ramstein Air Base in Germany. Following the meeting, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said that the participants had not made a decision to supply Kyiv with Leopard 2 tanks. Earlier, Poland decided to provide Ukraine with up to 14 tanks.
