Russia (bbabo.net), - Russia and South Africa are working to create trade mechanisms that will not depend on the whims of the West. This was announced today, on January 23, by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov at a press conference following talks with South African Foreign Minister Nadeli Pandor.
“We are already actively working to create new mechanisms, new tools that will not depend on the whims and arbitrariness of our Western colleagues,” Lavrov said. “All this is real, we are doing this with all our partners who want to cooperate honestly and do not want to be victims of unfair competition.”
As reported by bbabo.net, South Africa has defended next month's planned naval exercises with Russia and China amid Western criticism of its "evasive" stance on the conflict in Ukraine. The South African Ministry of Defense said it conducted similar military maneuvers with the US, UK and France without causing "hype" from those countries.
