This was announced today, January 26, by the Pakistani Foreign Ministry in a widespread release, Ariana News reports.

The statement was made after a meeting between Russian Special Representative for Afghanistan Zamir Kabulov and Pakistani Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar on January 25.

Both sides expressed their commitment to joint efforts to resolve issues related to regional security. Emphasizing that peaceful neighborhood remains a strategic imperative for Pakistan, Khar noted that Afghanistan, with its location as a bridge between Central and South Asia, is critical to realizing the full potential of socio-economic development and regional connectivity.

The minister also reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to working with other countries in the region to achieve the goals. She called on the international community to provide assistance and support to meet urgent humanitarian needs and ensure a sustainable path to the prosperity and development of Afghanistan.
