USA (bbabo.net), - The new US Ambassador to Russia, Lynn Tracy, will pay special attention to maintaining dialogue between Washington and Moscow at a time of unprecedented tension. This is stated in the message of the United States Embassy, circulated today, January 30, following the meeting at the Russian Foreign Ministry.

“Today was the first meeting of US Ambassador Lynn Tracy at the Russian Foreign Ministry, where she met with [Russian] Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov. Ambassador Tracy pays special attention to maintaining dialogue between the capitals of our countries at a time of unprecedented tension, protecting the interests of US citizens detained in the Russian Federation, and maintaining ties between the American and Russian peoples.

As bbabo.net reported, Tracy arrived at the Russian Foreign Ministry to present her credentials. At the door of the building, she was greeted with a protest rally.

Tracy is the first woman to serve as US Ambassador to Russia. She is a career diplomat, until recently she headed the US diplomatic mission in Armenia.
