Greater Middle East (bbabo.net) - UNICEF has raised the alarm over the number of children killed and injured due to the recent escalation of violence between Palestinians and Israelis. This was reported today, January 30, by the news portal Arab News.

In a statement, UNICEF said that since the beginning of 2023, seven Palestinian children and one Israeli child have been killed:

"Children continue to pay the highest price for violence."

UNICEF calls on all parties to de-escalate, exercise maximum restraint and refrain from violence, especially against children, in line with international law:

“Violence is never a solution and all forms of violence against children are unacceptable. This must end."
