Kazakh oil for Germany was put on the Friendship schedule

Ukraine (bbabo.net), - Supplies of Kazakh oil to Germany via the Druzhba pipeline are scheduled for February. Igor Demin, Advisor to the President of Trasneft, informed RIA Novosti about this.

“Today, in the first half of the day, the schedule for pumping 500,000 tons of oil to Poland was actually completed. Now you can start additional transit to Germany. But due to some inertia, our partners need time to start working. However, these 20,000 tons of oil are now scheduled for the February schedule and are no longer in addition, but on a par with the volumes provided for supplies to Poland via the northern branch of Druzhba, Igor Demin said.

He added that everything is ready for deliveries: route instructions have been prepared, the necessary transit payments have been made.

Earlier, in mid-January, KazTransOil JSC received confirmation from the Russian Ministry of Energy for the transportation in the first quarter of 300 thousand tons of Kazakhstani oil through the system of main oil pipelines of Transneft PJSC in the direction of the Adamova Zastava oil delivery point for further delivery to Germany.

This year, Kazakhstan plans to supply up to 1.5 million tons to Germany, and the maximum volume may be 6 million tons, Kazakh Energy Minister Bolat Akchulakov said.

KEBCO Blend oil from the Karachaganak field will go to Germany. This field is operated by both the Kazakh KazMunayGas and the Italian Eni, the Dutch-British Shell, the American Chevron and the Russian Lukoil. Part of the oil from Karachaganak was previously exported through Russia, both to the south and to the north.

The German authorities have promised to completely stop importing Russian oil from 2023. At the end of December, plans for the supply of Kazakh oil to Germany via Druzhba were confirmed by Transneft.

Leading FNEB analyst and expert of the Financial University under the Government of Russia Igor Yushkov noted to bbabo.net that Kazakh oil is already transiting through Russia - up to 17 million tons per year to the ports of Ust-Luga and Novorossiysk. And Russia is unlikely to interfere with transit.

“Theoretically, the option with Kazakh oil via Druzhba is convenient for Germany, since no one will transport Kazakh raw materials separately and it will, in fact, be Urals, which they are used to in Germany. Thus, there will be no need to reconfigure the refinery. In addition, the preservation of supplies via Druzhba is necessary, since the capacity of the port of Rostock is not enough to serve all the necessary compensation volumes, ”said the leading analyst of the FNEB.

The volumes booked for 2023 for Kazakh oil at Druzhba are small, as they are intended for the PCK refinery in Schwedt with a capacity of 12 million tons per year. This plant belongs to Rosneft enterprises, in which the German government has introduced a temporary administration. Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that from January 1, 2023, Germany will not import Russian oil. However, the refinery has encountered logistical difficulties, as the capacity of the port of Rostock is not enough, and the Polish authorities do not yet guarantee deliveries through Gdansk. Moreover, the Polish Orlen himself reserved 3 million tons of oil for the next year through Druzhba.
