Ukraine tries to draw Georgia into war with Russia - Garibashvili

Ukraine (bbabo.net), - Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said that Ukraine does not abandon attempts to draw his country into an armed conflict with Russia.

This was reported on Saturday, February 11, by the portal Sputnik Georgia. The head of government stressed that the Georgian authorities managed to avoid entering the war. However, provocations from Kyiv do not stop.

“We heard direct statements from representatives of the Ukrainian authorities. Their goal was to open a second front,” Garibashvili said.

He stressed that it was for this purpose that the former president of the country Mikheil Saakashvili was sent to Georgia and various provocations took place within the republic.

“Our main task was, is and will be to protect the interests of our people. We will make only those decisions and do the work that our country and our people need,” the Georgian prime minister promised.

Recall that Kyiv has repeatedly provoked Tbilisi, claiming that Georgia has a "historical opportunity" to occupy Abkhazia and the Tskhinvali region, which are not controlled by the central authorities of the country.

As reported by bbabo.net, earlier the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine appealed to the Georgian authorities to transfer Mikheil Saakashvili to Kyiv on the grounds that he has Ukrainian citizenship.
