Caucasus (bbabo.net), - Turkey will not forget the support provided by Armenia after the devastating earthquake. This was stated today, on February 15, by Ankara's special representative at the talks on normalizing relations with Yerevan, Serdar Kilich, to the Armenpress news agency, commenting on the support provided by Armenia to the neighboring country, with which it still does not have official diplomatic relations.
The region in which Armenia and Turkey are located is one of the factors that determine the fate of both countries. Sometimes this fate, alas, is determined by such disasters, the Turkish diplomat noted.
According to Kılıç, the support of neighbors in the region helps to alleviate pain and grief. The people of Armenia made efforts to support the people of Turkey at this difficult moment, sent a search and rescue team to Turkish Adiyaman, as well as two shipments of humanitarian aid to the disaster zone, he recalled.
The Special Representative further called the visit of Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan to Ankara, his condolences to the Turkish people and the meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu "very important events."
“We will not forget the support provided by Armenia. These are very important events. Pain can bring people closer. We are going through important processes,” Kılıç said.
Armenia sided with the Turkish people without hesitation, as reported by bbabo.net, Turkey's envoy said earlier this Wednesday.
