ISIS is a common enemy for the Taliban and the international community

Asia (bbabo.net), - ISIS* is a common enemy for the "Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan" (IEA, self-name of the country from the Taliban*) and the international community. This was stated by former US Representative for Afghanistan Zalmay Khalilzad.

He suggested that cooperation against ISIS* could be an important part of a future relationship with the Taliban* government, with full implementation of the Doha Agreement the best way forward.

“Among the available options (confessions by the Taliban government *. - approx. bbabo.net) is the full implementation of the agreement between the Taliban * and the United States, signed in Doha. This will be the best way forward and will solve all the concerns of the Afghans and the international community.”

Recall that the Doha Agreement was signed in February 2020 between the United States and the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. In August 2021, the United States, under incessant attacks by the Taliban*, hastily withdrew its troops from Afghanistan, where they had been for almost 20 years. The puppet regime in Kabul ceased to exist, and the entire leadership, led by President Ashraf Ghani, fled the country.
