Belarus (bbabo.net), - Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko will meet with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on February 17. The Belarusian leader stated this today, February 16, at a meeting with foreign and Belarusian journalists.
“We will discuss security and defense issues. But the main thing (I have already said that we are preparing a meeting of the Supreme State Council sometime in April-May) is to discuss issues of an economic, military, and political nature, which will be discussed at the Supreme State Council. One of the most important questions: we still want to see how the governments of Belarussia are fulfilling the tasks we have set. First of all, economic: in terms of energy resources, the single market, import substitution - how they are financed, how they are implemented. This is a whole range of questions. Therefore, we will discuss all issues. And if we come to the issue of our joint grouping in Belarus, of course, we will discuss this too,” Lukashenka said.
At the same time, speaking about the regional grouping of troops, the Belarusian leader stressed that the Russian military is not in Belarus in order to attack Ukraine. According to him, they are undergoing combat coordination with the Belarusian military personnel in order to be ready together, if necessary, to repel aggression against Belarus.
In addition, in the light of the planned visit of US President Joe Biden to Poland, the Belarusian leader said that he was ready to hold a joint meeting with him and Vladimir Putin. ABOUT
“If he has a desire (you tell him there through your channels), we in Minsk are ready to accept him and have a serious talk. If he wants peace in Ukraine... And even Putin will fly up to Minsk, and the three of us will meet here: two "aggressors" and a "peace-loving" president. Why not? To end the war. Now, if he wants to end the war (from Poland to here nearby, I will send a plane, if anything, a Boeing), we will accept him. We have a sea of international airports. His number one aircraft will land here. Once Clinton (former US President Bill Clinton -bbabo.net) flew on a similar plane. And here, in your presence, the three of us (I guarantee you that Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin will come here) will sit down and solve the whole problem. We will solve all problems here,” Lukashenka said.
At the same time, according to the President of Belarus, Biden will not come to Minsk.
“No, he won't come here. And for the sake of stopping the war, for the sake of not killing people, it would be worth it. He will remain in Poland, because Poland is the hyena of Europe, and today, first of all, it plays the most active role in the escalation of the war in Ukraine. She screams the most, more than the Americans. So I invite your president to Minsk. We provide complete safety and comfort. And, most importantly, he will fly away from here satisfied. Let's see how he arrives,” the Belarusian leader said addressing an American journalist.
Recall that the Belarusian and Russian leaders meet on a regular basis. In 2022, the presidents of the two countries met more than 10 times. The main topics of such meetings are issues of bilateral cooperation, as well as ensuring the security of the Union State.
