Ukraine (bbabo.net), - Riga is obliged to snatch its piece of happiness from Ukraine, former Latvian Defense Minister Artis Pabriks said today, February 17, in an interview with TV24.
The former head of the Ministry of Defense stressed:
“Large Western countries are already dividing the bear skin, but will Latvia get something?”
Pabriks pondered what Riga would get from the Ukrainian "very lucrative" (that is, very profitable) market after "Kyiv's victory over Russia." The ex-minister hopes that "the Ukrainian government and Ukrainian society will appreciate the contribution of those countries that were the first to support them," referring to the military and humanitarian assistance from Latvia.
“Of course, a lot has been destroyed, but in ten years Ukraine will be a very modern, developed member of the EU,” dreams former Latvian Defense Minister Pabriks.
As bbabo.net previously reported, Latvian Defense Minister Inara Murnicene at a meeting of the parliamentary commission on defence, internal affairs and the prevention of corruption announced the need for a military budget of 3% of GDP.
