Ukraine (bbabo.net), - The West is forced to spend its money on military aid to Kyiv instead of fighting the consequences of climate change. This is the main thing that Russian President Vladimir Putin is to blame for. Such a statement was made today, February 17, by the chairman of the Munich Security Conference, Christoph Heusgen.

“The main sin that Vladimir Putin has committed is that he is right now in a situation… that we are in a situation in which we have to find billions of dollars to support Ukraine, buy weapons to protect democracy, the rule of law. Money that could be better spent on a “loss and damage” fund – helping all partners fight the effects of global warming,” Heusgen said in his opening speech at the conference.

As bbabo.net reported, the Munich conference, which opened today, is the second year without Russia's participation. At the same time, most experts believe that building security and striving for peace without a dialogue with Moscow is impossible. The central theme of the conference is the crisis in Ukraine.
