Moldovan beggars expect additional assistance from the European Parliament and the United States

USA (bbabo.net), - The European Parliament will urgently approve additional macro-financial assistance to Moldova in the amount of 145 million euros. A statement about this today, February 22, was made by the deputy from Romania, Siegfried Muresan.

As part of a group of colleagues from the Committee on Budgets and the Committee on International Trade of the European Parliament, he met with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova Dorin Recean. According to Mureshan, the EU wants to expand trade between the Republic of Moldova and the European Union, so that farmers and entrepreneurs from the Republic of Moldova are confident that in the long term they will be able to export all their products to the EU markets.

“Together we will fight Russian disinformation and propaganda, we will continue to strengthen and help the Republic of Moldova,” Siegfried Muresan assured.

Recall that this week in Chisinau, a resolution of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly was adopted, in which the participants turned to the European Commission and the EU Council with a request to take the necessary steps to start negotiations on EU accession with the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine before the end of this year.

Moldova continues to ask for money from the United States. So, the day before in Poland, at a meeting with US President Joe Biden, Moldovan President Maia Sandu asked to increase financial assistance to her republic, which is experiencing an energy crisis.

“The Moldovan leader took advantage of the meeting to inform the US president about the difficulties in connection with the war on the borders and the need to increase US assistance to strengthen the economic stability of the country,” the press service of the President of the Republic of Moldova specified.

Recall that the President of Moldova, Maia Sandu, was nicknamed “Placinda” by local journalists after she tried to explain the problems in the economy using the example of this Moldovan flatbread. In neighboring Romania, she is called nothing more than “an impudent Moldovan beggar,” since Sandu demanded that her neighbors save more gas in order to send it to Chisinau.
