USA (bbabo.net), - Moscow sees US President Joe Biden's speech in Poland as a doomed attempt to put pressure on Russia. This was stated to journalists today, February 22, by Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergei Ryabkov.
“I assess this speech as one of many attempts in the genre doomed to failure to put pressure on the Russian Federation, there is nothing new in the text, we have all heard this dozens of times, we will hear it again in different performances,” he said, answering a question from TASS. “There are no glimmers of common sense in Washington’s politics.”
The diplomat noted that this speech showed the full validity of the decision of the Russian Federation to suspend participation in the Treaty on Measures for the Further Reduction and Limitation of Strategic Offensive Arms (START) was justified.
“We read [Biden's speech]. We noted to ourselves that the full validity of the decision to suspend our participation in START is obvious, ”he said.
