USA (bbabo.net), - Opponents of Belarus are planning further measures to destabilize the situation in the country. This was announced today, February 22, by the chairman of the State Security Committee Ivan Tertel.
“Despite the work we are doing, our opponents are planning further measures to destabilize the situation in the country against the backdrop of the events that are taking place in our south, against the backdrop of other local conflicts in the post-Soviet space and other parts of the world. Their plans cover the period 2024-2025. Here, the whole context is connected with their aspiration to our bodies of power and administration, to commit actions aimed at undermining stability in the country. Accordingly, we report these threats to the head of state, we propose the development of specific measures aimed, firstly, at preventing these threats, and secondly, at the real creation of mechanisms of influence,” he said, presenting the draft law in the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly On amendments to the codes of criminal responsibility”.
According to him, "in this regard, a number of normative legal acts regulating the activities of the KGB were worked out and amended."
Recall that Western countries do not recognize the legitimacy of the current Belarusian government and support the opponents of Alexander Lukashenko. In response, Belarus has repeatedly accused the EU and the US of trying to destabilize the situation in the country. According to official Minsk, the West is preparing plans for a coup d'état in the republic, including through military intervention.
