Caucasus (bbabo.net), - Abkhazia is building engineering structures on the border with Georgia, in which the opposition demanded last week to "return" Abkhazia and South Ossetia. President Aslan Bzhaniya inspected work on the border in the Gal region.

“The head of state heard a report from the Minister of Defense on the implementation of measures to strengthen the mobilization readiness of personnel and inspected new engineering structures along the Abkhaz-Georgian border,” Bzhaniya’s press service said.

The inspection trip was also attended by Vice President Badra Gunba, Parliament Speaker Lasha Ashuba, Security Council Secretary Sergei Shamba, Defense Minister Colonel General Vladimir Anua, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Lieutenant General Vladimir Savchenko.
