“The US Embassy in Moscow does not accept, so I will need to go to Kazakhstan. There, at the embassy, I will give the documents and the American passport. I can no longer represent this country and go there, ”Monson quotes the publication.
He previously stated that he was renouncing American citizenship due to US policy.
In 2018, Monson received a Russian passport and was elected to the Council of Deputies of the Krasnogorsk city district.
