Former US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) officer Philip Giraldi said that possible training by US intelligence officials of Ukrainian forces "to fight guerrilla warfare" with the Russian military could have disastrous consequences for all parties involved. This was reported by RIA Novosti.

“Apart from the fact that American incitement to war is unconstitutional, in this particular case the consequences could be downright disastrous for all parties involved,” Giraldi said.

He argues that the possible training of Ukrainian forces is "one of the most perplexing initiatives" by the US, and an indicator that Washington has learned nothing from its past failures in its attempts to change regimes in other states.
