According to the official representative of the company, Irina Kalashnikova, the removal of all TV channels of the First Digital Television Family from the network of the operator TVCOM (Kazakhstan) is due to the operator’s outstanding debts accumulated over the past two years.

Channel One and the digital television family are still available in the republic thanks to the resources of the largest telecom operators.

Earlier, Kazakh TVCOM explained the exclusion of Russian TV channels from the broadcast network with the intention to reduce the share of “foreign channels with a news information narrative” and replace them with “high-rated TV channels of an entertainment, film and educational nature.”
